When we get hurt, we usually create a wall so that we won’t get hurt by the same people again. But it will crumble down once it is touched by the people who hurt us, because we still love them. And we still hope that they’d come back and love us again, but it doesn’t happen to all of us.
We rebuild the wall again, it crumbles down. And the same process goes on and on, until we’re tired of doing the same thing for how many times.
We change without us noticing it. And people around us notice it. We tell them we didn’t change, when in fact we really changed.
When we’ve been through a lot, we change. Some of us change for the better, while some of us change for the worse. And some of us retain our old selves.
But no matter what happens, whether you’ve changed or not, you will see those who are true to you and those who understand you for what you are and for what you have become. Don’t drive them away. They are the ones who will stick with you through thick and thin — your real friends.
Hold on when you know you still have something to hold on to. Let go if you know there’s nothing there anymore.
